ORCHESTRAL MASTERWORK: DVOŘÁK’S CELLO CONCERTO

On March 26, 2017, the Aaron Copland School of Music Orchestra returned to the Bohemian National Hall for a performance of Antonín Dvořák’s world-famous “Cello Concerto” under the baton of Maestro Maurice Peress.  Renowned cellist Marcy Rosen was soloist in this American-period masterwork—the most celebrated of cello concertos to this day.  The rarely performed American Suite was also heard in this concert, which took place in the historic ballroom of the 1896 “Národni Budova.”
